My Wonderful Life

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST WITHOUT STOPPING

YOU WILL UNDERSTAND AFTER READING

I got a call from UPS early this morning her name was Ms. Jackson and she told me to come in tomorrow morning for an interview at 8 am.

I am excited but also am like i live in Memphis and need a few more days. She says ok and the conversation ends.

I ponder the fact that I don’t really know who Ms. Jackson is because I spoke with a lady named Alana Silver. but am thankful regardless.

Then I wake up and realize that i was just having a stupid dream.

What a way to ruin everything. Stupid Dream

So how is it

Do you like the new blog? Do you know who I am? Are you conscious right now?

I want to know if you like the blog setup. Let me know how you like it. Comment and let me know and i also am bored so if you have some cool sites i should visit then tell me those too.

Drew Brees

yeah i thought i would play sneaky in this years fantasy football league with some friends and it turns out that it is really hurting me.

I picked up Drew Brees and Tom Brady in back to back rounds plus i started with LT not a bad combo i would think. I honestly was hoping both would be hot and i would trade one or the sleeper i picked up late in Jay Cutler but i haven’t been actively looking for a deal. And i just got destroyed in the past two weeks by a Music Minister!!! Needless to say Drew Brees I am not a fan of yours right now and you better pick it up son or you’ll be riding the pine.

Sunday Sunday Sunday

Well today was Sunday and i was pretty excited to just get into a church for the first time in a week.

And the service today was awesome. Pastor Bob Lane was on fire today. He spoke on the death of Christ and all of the things that it entails: propitiation, justification, and anointing. Pretty awesome stuff. But the best part was that he said that Jesus was actually quoting Psalm 22 when He  said “My God, My God why have thou forsaken Me?”

Let me just suggest that right now you stop reading this and read Psalm 22 and imagine Jesus on the Cross saying this!! It is awesome.

Kristen, Football, and UPS were all on my mind today and so hopefully tomorrow i will here from the Brown and I am praying that it will be great news.

Regardless thanks to constant reminders from my awesome fiance God is in control and there is no room for stress or fear.

Man i love her.

Anyway continue to pray that I would get out of the way and that God would take control.

Thanks for your prayers and for your thoughts. I am very thankful.

Also David, we will film soon but i wussed out today sorry bud maybe next weekend.

I fell like Daniel Powter

I’ve been praying for a job in Greenville, SC for a long time now and I rejected the best offer I’ve had, today. I just have a feeling that there is something better. But honestly its pretty scary.

Also, I threw my wallet in the trash at a gas station today. I threw in some trash and i guess i didn’t realize i picked up my wallet. I didn’t realize that i threw it away until I got to school and i had a test today so i couldn’t just go back and get it. But i had to skip my racquetball class and went back to get it. Thank God it was there. Yes I’ve had a bad day.

Conference USA for JR

yeah here is how Conference USA has performed against the “big boys”

UAB pushes FSU to the wire and FSU barely pulls out the win.

Marshall against West Virginia. Marshall dominates until Pat White and Steve Slaton turn it on in the second half.

Memphis outgains Ole Miss by 200 yards of offense. Commits 6 turnovers and loses on a dropped two point conversion pass.

Southern Mississippi is beating UT (ugh i can’t believe i even mentioned them in my blog) and UT pulls ahead at the end.

And ECU is playing Virginia Tech, their biggest game ever possibly because of the tragedy and everyone is pumped and united and ECU is dominating them pretty much the entire game and the Tech pulls ahead with a go ahead touchdown late in the game.

Overall 0-5 but what if these schools had the BCS money or any kind of a fair playing field. Well then i think we all know it would be a whole different ball game.

Miami lost like 14,000-3 by the way. you got whipped by the sooners. At least you guys can still hang out with your teammates at jail.

On a lighter note

I still haven’t heard back from the brown. Please continue to hold me in your prayers. I need them and they do make a difference.

Abortion yeah we talked about it

So we talked about abortion on tuesday and today my group had a presentation on the subject.

I’m going to be completely honest about the whole thing. I am so thankful that i go to a liberal arts school. I would never have the true opinions and real life examples if i went to a christian bible college or seminary school. People are real and they go through real things that affect their entire life and im glad that i get to experience those things.

Now i will tell you some of the things that i think are important

  • 93% of abortions are because of inconvenience or just not wanting to have the child.
  • the largest religious sect in America having abortions is Protestant: 37%
  • “Born again Christians”: 23%
  • 1% of abortions are cases of rape: although this number is probably skewed because some women wouldn’t admit that they had an abortion
  • 6% are because of health issues with the mother that are a result of the pregnancy.

These are the stats but they don’t tell the story.  What if you or your daughter or your wife was raped. What would you do? If your wife or daughter would die giving birth what would your decision be?

These are true things that happen. Honestly i’ve never thought of these situations in such a real light before this week. Their were two women in our class both had abortions. One regretted the decision the other didn’t regret it at all. Both were very young when they had the abortion.

Couple of things i realized

  1. character and beliefs are based on the decisions you make not on the what you say.
  2. Don’t judge people. It is hard to do but just look at the life that Jesus lived and follow The Example.
  3. Pray. there is so much that we need to pray for and we can’t cover it all but i know that i should be praying more.
  4. These issues are more complicated than i ever could’ve imagined.
  5. These things make me think of why abortion wasn’t covered in the Bible. Does God judge based on the rules and the acts or based on the condition of the heart. Easy to say but where is your heart really at?

I am so much better because of this week and I’m even more excited because next week is Euthanasia.

Anyways

thanks for reading

sorry guys

Sorry for the craziness of switching blogs. I know that it is a hassle for people to get used to going to a new website and everything. But I am pumped because posting links and pictures and such are just so much easier now.

I hope that you guys will continue to read my blog and look forward to seeing where this thing goes.

And you can think David Jacks he recommended this site to me.
