Major’s question of the Week

So Major has a ton of fans now and he wanted to ask all of you a question. Please let him know what you think and tell him how cool he is!

Have you seen the twitter song?

if not you must check it out… here is the link.

Thanks 3amjosh!

This play sums up my fantasy team

Acceptance

I thought this week more about this subject than pretty much more than anything else. I have always really thought deeply about this process. Those with special needs really are different than us. They learn differently, they experience differently, and they are honestly just different.

I am really wondering about acceptance. If we are truly accepting how does bringing them into our life work. IN other words when we play basketball competitively how do we treat them, how do we guard them, and how do we relate to them.

My mind has been processing things like that. From handicaps to differences in birth (I don’t like the phrase birth defects). How can we bring them in to our lives. How does that work? Should we try? Is it possible to fully accept them into every part of our life?

Long Day Ahead

Wednesday usually are a day of relaxation after the work day. Tonight however we will begin training our childcare workers to take it to the next level with the kids that they care for on Wednesday nights. I am excited, nervous, and pumped about what God is going to do through this cloudy time. I am awaiting a breakthrough for our childcare department hoping that children everywhere always continue to grow in their fatih in journey of Christ. I hope they are willing to rush headlong into the growth that is about to happen.

But I would love to pose a fun question for today. I was trying to think of my earliest memory in life. I can’t decide between two. I remember being at a pool hall with my parents. Really just chilling. I also remember bringing one of my sister’s stinky diapers to the trash.

So today tell me, what is your earliest memory from life?

Hanging out at the office

Was getting a little bored after meetings all day so Me and one of our Children’s staff’s child hung out while playing some of our favorite music so we decided to film a video. This is Major’s debut.

P.S. turn your volume down before you play this video. You’ll be glad you did.

Question?

I want to pose a question and I would love to have your opinion.

What spiritual consequences do my choices have?

Things to consider when answering:

As a christian, our salvation rests solely upon the gift of Jesus Christ…where do your choices fit in?

Discuss and respond.

Incredible Weekend

This past weekend was awesome. I had so much fun and did so many really interesting things.

Here’s the recap:

  • Incredible service yesterday at Brookwood Church. “One Month to Live” You don’t want to miss this series. I am begging, really beggin you to get here. I’ll personally show you around the place if you feel uncomfortable or something. You just have to be here for this.
  • Bible study on Saturday. We talked about “Is Jesus the only path to God?” very interesting stuff.
  • Statement I pondered all weekend: “If we truly trust Jesus with our lives and commit ourselves fully to Him, then our actions have no spiritual consequences.” You are welcome to post your thoughts on this as well.
  • 1200 people involved in children’s ministry this weekend. 1000 kids and 200 volunteers. It was an incredible week with alot of interesting things.
  • Learned how to praise God with just our hands, as if we didn’t have the ability to speak.
  • A little girl named Selah closed us in prayer at 11:30 and she knew that her name meant “a moment of praise to God” absolutely SWEET time of praise and learning 11:30 in the chapel with the 3-5 graders.
  • God reminded me of the passion that He put in me for kids and teaching. It really is what I wait the entire week for.

How was your weekend? And what do you think about that statement?
