Leaving the Beach Tomorrow
I know it’s totally sad but also totally ok. We kinda miss home. We had a ton of fun here though and it was definitely refreshing. I have thought about a lot over the past few days and have some incredible times with my wife.
Couple of highlights
Margaritaville: Nacho’s and live entertainment were phenomenal. Most fun at a restaurant we’ve had in a long time. Also Kristen confronted one of her fears and held an animal that is not a dog. This particular occasion it was a parrot. And she also had one on her head. I was so proud hehehe.
Parasailing: Not only was it awesome but so was the ride to the boat on a banana boat. Greatest thing that we’ve done here. Plus a couple of girls that was also parasailing asked if we were on our honeymoon. (I think I got some brownie points for that comment even though I had nothing to do with it)
Sitting and Reading: Never thought that I would see my wife tear through a couple of 300+ page books in a week. She’s starting her third book in a series today. I’ll let you guess what they are. Hint: Vampires and Werewolves (And somehow cartoons is nerdy… I know right
)
Hard Rock: Kristen and I loved it… unbelievable time. She got to see them do the YMCA and that was worth it.
Overall it was fun and long overdue. I’ve got a new motto for awhile. It may not last long or it might last a lifetime… I’m not sure. But here it is.
I want to “Create Memories” with my life. Whether it’s pictures or experiences I want to put up altars to remember some things that God has done. I’ve got a few I didn’t even know about until this week but it’s awesome.
Mark Batterson’s Wild Goose Chase has got me running thru alot in my mind right now. Great Book. If you haven’t read it pick it up.
On a side note… I wonder if a great book is really a great book or is it mostly what your mind does with the content that makes it great???
Anyway just thought I would give you an update. Would’ve posted more thoughts this week but honestly I was having too much fun and didn’t have time to think through a post. O well.
