I have seriously been thinking about buying a digital reader. It seems a bit weird to me though. I’m not gonna lie, in this area of my life, I am pretty hesitant about being ahead of the curve on technology.
I mean I love books. I love the smell, the feel of the pages, and the feeling you have when you see exactly how much you have read by the size of the wad of paper on the left side of your thumb.
But knowing that I will probably make the switch sooner rather than later, here is a write-up that might help you make a decision.
Takeaways: Love the lend a book, like the added bonus of offers for being in a barnes and noble bookstore, and love the ability to add storage space.
Can’t you see my bookshelf of memory cards full of books stored on them?
hmmm… i have thought about the kindle before, but have not made the switch. the instant gratification of access to a book whenever you get the urge b/c you can buy instantly is a huge bonus but the fun stuff about books, like being able to see how much you have read (which I do every time I close a book), flipping pages, and just its mere presence on the shelf are hard to let go of. what is your motivation for yo to turn to the digital reader?
just like you talked about. Instant gratification, way less bulky to take places, ability to borrow and lend books (aka save money). O and pretend I'm cooler cuz I'm getting in one the front end
. Again I'm not sure. Just looking around checking to see if it's worth it to make the switch.
