So I know that Parents are always looking for resources to help them guide their child to being a successful adult. Also as a Tween Ministry you are probably always looking for resources as well. I’ve found a few resources for tweens and parents to help you on your interesting journey from 9-13 🙂
- TweenParent.com – Great site for Parents of preteens covering a lot of different areas including health, technology, learning, and safety. I would probably recommend this as the number one site for parents of tweens. Great resource.
- WiredSafety.org – A nonprofit charity, this organization is considered the largest and oldest online safety, education, and help group in the world. Established in 1995, the group covers it all when it comes to tweens and safety online, including monitoring and rating websites, providing one-to-one help, extensive information and education on all issues related to cyberbullying and interactive technology safety issues.
- Ypulse.com – Comprised of media and insights divisions, Youth Pulse is the leading authority on youth. They study the opinions and behavior of tweens, teens, collegians and young adults in order to provide news, commentary, events, research and strategy for marketing, brand and media professionals. They are a great resource for research and are a great place to gain some new perspective on tweens and what they are watching and how you can help guide them.
- Youth Trends– (This is a paid research company) Youth Trends is the leading independent research and marketing services firm focused on the 8 to 29 year-old youth consumer market. Their research is pretty in depth and they seem to very knowledgeable.
